Halloween, 2009
Lily picked out an awesome costume this year! The rest were recycled from previous years, it’s good to be the oldest! We had a good time as usual, just roamed around the neighborhood.
Pumpkin Patch
I really enjoyed the pumpkin patch last year, but Julie didn’t like that the pumpkins were already picked. She wants to pick them “in the field.” I looked into several, most were an hour or so away and we only had a couple hours between Cassie’s nap and Julie going into work. Plus, the “hayride” at Lobenstein is pretty weak but it’s only $0.50 per person versus $8-10 at other places.
In the end we decided to go back to Lobenstein Farm, and had a good time. I think they make up the hayride difference with pumpkin prices, we ended up spending $45!

Another weekend, another Halloween festival…
Pumpkin Patch
We met my parents at a local pumpkin patch today, and had a lot of fun! Typically Julie and take the kids to a place in Indiana, but mom and dad have been wanting to go with us one year and the place we’ve always went seemed to be going downhill every year.
This new place, Shaw Farms is a really nice place; tons of pumpkins and a real hay ride to boot! It was crowded, but not crazy so the it wasn’t really a hassle. We forget to get pics with the grandparents, which is disappointing.
Fall-O-Ween Festival
The first, of what I’m sure will be many Halloween festivals over the coming weeks. This one was at Coney Island, I didn’t even know they did Halloween!
