Easter Egg Hunts

Saturday, 16 April 2011 20:05 Written by Matt 0 Comments

We hit the Mercy HS egg hunt and then the one at Harvest Home. The latter was pretty weak; they didn’t have enough eggs, we picked a bad starting spot and Lily and Ava went 0-fer. They did have the creepiest Easter Bunny costume I’ve ever seen!

Cheep, cheep!

I had some “use it or lose it vacation” so took the day off and we headed for Indy. We have a membership to the Cincinnati Children’s Museum, and it’s pretty fun, but the Indy museum was even better! If you get a chance, be sure to check out the Barbie wing and The Power of Children exhibit. We spent the whole day there, and didn’t even get through the whole thing!

Cassie finally said yes, so now all of the girls have their ears pierced. Kind of sad in a way, they’re growing up.

Halloween, 2010

We had a really good Halloween season this year, felt much longer than usual. This year I think Cassie had the best costume, an ice cream cone!

Dad’s Camping Trip, 2010 Edition

Saturday, 02 October 2010 21:35 Written by Matt 0 Comments

Lily, Ava and I took another camping trip with friends, this past weekend, and had a blast! This year we did Hocking Hillls, and had a lot of fun. We hit Old Man’s Cave, which has some pretty steep drop-offs and then Ash Cave which was nice because the kids could just run around and play in the dirt.

We stayed at a KOA campground, and the Gem Mine was pretty fun! Bought a bucket of dirt, then all of the kids found their gems. For breakfast on Saturday, they had a “build your cereal” bar and Ava had some cocoa puffs with skittles; yum!!
